Come join us at Marquis Wine Cellars on Tuesday, February 9th from 5:30 to 7pm as we host a free in-store tasting featuring the wines from Teusner Estate in the Barossa Valley. Howard Duncan from the estate will be in attendance to pour the wines and to answer any question you might have. Among others we will have The Gentleman Cabernet Sauvignon, The Joshua GSM and The Riebke Barossa Shiraz open for your tasting enjoyment.
Teusner was started in 2001 by Kym Teusner and Mick Page after they reached an agreement with some local grape growers to start buying the fruit that had previously been sold to the “Big Boys of the Australian Wine Industry”. The fruit for all the wines now produced at Teusner comes predominantly from old vines, some ranging upwards of 100 years old and the mission in the winery is simple. The Teusner wines are rich and fruit forward and that retain acidity to create wines of impeccable balance. Essentially these are the kind of wines that Kym and Mick like to drink.
