ONE OF THE BEST ROSÉS TO COME OUT OF BC HAS A STORY TO TELL
A unique blend and a wine that gives back to the community it came from…
Les Dames d’Escoffier, BC Chapter, has an amazing story to tell about a young woman who received a scholarship from them back in 1991, who went on to become the youngest certified wine sommelier (any gender) in Canada, and later went on to learn winemaking. Who, as her influence grew and professional career matured, was invited to join the BC Chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier for her contributions to the industry. From here the story tells of her inspiration to give back to “Les Dames” by making her inaugural wine, not only in their honour, but as a major fundraising initiative, and how a red wine, white wine and now rosé were made.
Want to taste it!
Join Mireille Sauvé, members of the “dames”, guests and wine writers at a casual summer tasting of the newly released “Dames Rosé” and a cheque presentation to Les Dames d’Escoffier, BC Chapter.
All three wines will be available to taste; hear about the next bottling (a bubble) and the collaboration effort it took among some of the top (who happen to be female) growers, winemakers and producers in BC to make these wines.
This is a complimentary event, however please let us know you are coming so we have enough glasses and nibbles prepared for the numbers.
