Based in Okanagan Falls, the Heart of Wine Country™, Liquidity offers an artisan approach to winemaking - taking you on a journey of the senses that captures the art of winemaking from grape to glass in a stunning space where guests are wowed by the incredible views, eclectic artwork and locally inspired food. The winery property, overlooking Vaseux Lake, has been under vine since the mid-70s and starting in 1991 all non-vinifera vines have been replaced with our current varietals, which include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Viognier, Merlot, Riesling and Dornfelder.
Liquidity’s owners purchased the property in 2008 and began the process of converting to more sustainable vineyard practices, along with the construction of our production facility, tasting room and bistro, opening to the public in 2014. The vineyard soils are made up primarily of glacial till, sand and gravel that are ideal, along with our climate, for our premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The winemaker, Alison Moyes, is originally from Southern Ontario and moved to the east coast to attend Dalhousie University to study Microbiology. During this time, she had the opportunity to work at some of Halifax’s finest restaurants. After completing her degree, she began to explore her love of the food and beverage industry further, becoming a certified Sommelier responsible for the largest wine list in the Maritimes. She then acquired a degree in Oenology & Viticulture from Brock University. Following several seasons working in the Niagara region, the Okanagan beckoned and Alison spent time with two top wineries in the Okanagan, having worked under Pascal Madevon at Osoyoos Larose and as Winemaker for Stoneboat Vineyards for five years before joining the team at Liquidity in 2015. Her goal is to produce authentic, expressive wines of the highest quality.
