Henricsson Vineyard...home to some of the oldest Vinifera vines in the Okanagan Valley, and with a surprisingly unique terroir...it never ceases to amaze us! Their journey from vineyard to wine-making is a many-chaptered story. However today, with the main focus on vineyard practices, bio-dynamic principles and all that makes a vineyard truly thrive in all aspects, their vineyard is responding glowingly, and hence the previously held level of high quality wines produced from this vineyard, they hope to increase, and continue for many years to come!
A small scale, hand-made operation, Henricsson Vineyard produced only 300 cases total in 2015, and 500 in 2016. Using old and even ancient primarily Burgundian winemaking techniques, they thrive to produce wines that are bright, energetic and focused, with character and pedigree. Elegant and balanced, with a purity of fruit, and an acidic backbone with finesse and subtlety.....always using wild yeast for their fermentations, as well as absolute minimal sulphur, their passion is alive and thriving!
