Domaine de l'Arjolle are a family of wine makers for seven generations. The two brothers Louis Marie & Prosper Teisserenc started Arjolle in 1974 and from there they thrived sharing a million bottle in Europe and Japan today.
The objective of the program is to provide the essential ingredients for high quality, diversity and production of excellent wine. Today these values continue to dominate the work of the estate. While remaining conscious of economic realities, the Terra Vitis method allows growers to contribute to the preservation of the land and the life of the vineyard. Recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture, this certification attests to a sensitive agricultural practice. "Our wish is to share the fruits of our passion with the largest number of people we can."
Chateau Les Carrasses was a completely dilapidated 19th century Chateau in Capestang right on the Canal Midi. Karl O'Hanlon the proprietor took on the massive task of redeveloping this Chateau into a world class home away from home luxury wine destination (voted by the Wine Enthusiast magazine). From here Karl partnered with the Bonfils family breathing life back into the surrounding vineyards and producing their first vintage of wine in 2011, expressing the terroir of over 2000 years of cultivated lands.
The connection between the two wineries is they are great friends. The Domaine and Chateau are only 20 minutes apart in the great region of the Languedoc southern France.
